Ігор Гайденко Ihor Haidenko – Composer, Ukraine Ihor Haidenko was born on January 11, 1961, in the village of Khorosheve near Kharkiv. He received his education at the Kharkiv Institute of Arts, specializing as a pianist (1985, under Professor Nataliya Yeshchenko) and as a composer (1990, under Professor Volodymyr Zolotukhin). He completed an assistantship and internship in composition at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory (1993, under Professor Serhiy Slonimsky). Additionally, he studied composition courses in Kazimierz Dolny, Poland (1991, with Krzysztof Penderecki, Magnus Lindberg, and Marco Stroppa), as well as at the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France (1992, with Gilbert Amy and Philippe Manoury). Haidenko earned a PhD in Art Studies in 2006 and became an Associate Professor in 2009. He is a laureate of the All-Ukrainian Competition named after Viktor Kosenko (Odesa, 1996) and the First International Bandura Composition Competition named after Hryhoriy Kytasty (Canada, 2000). |
